AW: [vintagesynthrepair] what to do with chroma polaris

2001-04-20 by Ullrich Peter

Hallo Gary!

>I've got an old Fender Chroma Polaris just sitting around, because of the membrane panel is worn out, or not functioning.
>Without the use of the membrane, it can't function. I tried to midi it to another keyboard, but can't set the midi receive channel because of the membrane >buttons.
>It's a shame, because it was a pretty fun synth. Unfortunately it appeared about the same time as the DX7.
>So, is there any hope?

If you can't get a spare membrane panel anywhere you could have a look for the
schematics and could make your own panel with normal push buttons.
But for this you have to know about the keyboard matrix design...
Of course it doesn't look like the original but it will play again!

Ciao
Peter
