CV/gate question

CV/gate question

2004-03-11 by ahfinnie11

Is there a way to know what CV will work with what synths? I know
some are Hertz/octave and others are 1v/octave. It seems none of mine
will work with each other really... (i discovered this when I was
trying to control my Crumar DS1)

Sorry if this is a rather stupid question...

most synths are 1v/oct (or nearly), the main exceptions are korg and
yamaha using v/hz.
usually the spec sheet for your synth at one of the synth sites will
tell you what kind of cv is needed.
