really . . . whoever is supposed to be monitoring this group should . .
. you know, like get on the ball (no reference to porn intended). i
joined this group to hang out with people who liked to make cool things
happen with synths that others have relegated to the 'junk' pile.......

I'm the moderator of this group, and as soon as I noticed that a bit
of junk had snuck through, I deleted it and banned the account that
had sent it. If you're receiving email from the group, there's
nothing I can do to undo your receipt of the message.

We had a lot of this sort of spam a few months back, and then I
changed the group to require my approval of new members. Since that
time there's been on occasional post of this nature that sneaks
through, maybe once every couple of months or so. I hardly think
that's a bad record, considering that it's virtually impossible in
this day and age to have a totally spam-free elist.

The only other thing I could do is approve every individual message,
and that's just not very practical or convenient for any of us.

Personally, I think I've done a pretty decent job of maintaining a
relatively spam-free group for the last several months, so come on,
cut me a little slack, and don't make the signal to noise ratio even
poorer by posting pointless comments like this.

Funny the original message didn't make it to the website list. I was
wondering what everyone was talking about!

True, there haven't really been any porn messages on here (atleast on
the website) since the settings were changed. Really there haven't
been too many messages in general! Everytime I check the website, I
see my Moog Source message from about 2 weeks ago.

actually, you probably have; i'm guilty of being a little flippant
probably because the first series of message i got from this group were
all spam. it wasn't fair of me to take a shot at you without making
sure of my facts.

and, now, back to what we're all here for....

i was planning to introduce myself with a list of the modules and
equipment i've manage to acquire during the last three years but that's
been side-tracked while i track down a nasty bug in my pc-based daw
which surfaced when i tried to install sonar 3 the other day (grrrr
{sound of teeth grinding}) - i've had to reformat the main drive 3 times
and re-install windows but as soon as it gets to trying to swallow
directx 9.0b, it hangs.........

oh well, beats banging my head with a rock over and over again (er . .
. wait a minute.....)
