Prophet 5 key bumpers

Prophet 5 key bumpers

2008-03-11 by pigeonbreath

I've got a Prophet 5 keyboard on my bench. It's quite straightforward
(and crude . . .).

The bump stops for the keys have hardened, crumbled or are otherwise
disintegrating -- to the point that it is difficult to determine what
material was originally used. What material would be best for
replacing those bump stops, and where can it be obtained?

Thanks in advance.

Thomas

You guys are terrific. Thanks for the referral for key bumper
manufacturers (seemingly misnamed "bushings" in the industry). I've
ordered a set from Arcsound (couldn't tell how the German ones were
constructed, and they'd take a lot longer to get here, and at almost
twice the price).
