Woah... You serious? I didn't mention it, because I didn't think it
important, but I checked the battery (lithium) and SOMEHOW it is
still 100% alive... but isn't soldered in! You can just pull it right
out. The problem is, it would be a pain to solder back in, because
the circuitry is integrated into the board- inaccessable from either
side. I could work at it a little, though... I didn't mention it
because I figured the battery was just to save the user settings and
wasn't necessary to start up, but maybe it needs to be in the circuit
anyway (the ROM may use it??). Thanks a lot- if it works it might
save me $$ and a trip out of town. -Dave
