Is it possible to repair broken tracks on a contact strip?

Is it possible to repair broken tracks on a contact strip?

2009-02-13 by Pascur

I've determined that the dead keys on my D-5 are caused by breaks in
two of the tracks in the keyboard contact strip - one of which is
several millimetres across due to something corrosive being spilt on
it. The contact strip isn't available as a spare part any more, nor
is an entire keyboard.

Is there any way to bridge these tracks? My first thought was
conductive pens but the tracks don't seem to be right on the surface
but rather encased under a thin plastic layer.

Failing that - does anybody have a fully working D-5 contact strip
they'd be willing to ship to Australia?

Thanks,
Lindsay

Would anyone have ANY documentation on this puppy, ;user manual, service manual, specs, whatever?

Thanx in advance, all

Get a roll of kynar wire , strip some and patch your runs with it. You'll need a small pencil soldering iron,0.032 solder and a steady hand.
