CS-5 mod?

CS-5 mod?

2002-03-26 by ichbinladin

Hi y'all!
I'm a happy owner of an Yamaha cs-5. And is now thinking of getting a
midi -> CV for it. the problem is I want to control cutoff and
portamento aswell, although there aren't any inputs for this. Anyone
know how to make these kinds mods.?
Aslo I wonder if there's some schematics out there on how to build
you're own midi to CV?

Thanx

Dear ichbinladin and list ,
the Yamaha CS5 uses hert/volt rather than volts/octave
so you need to get a midi to cv unit that can manage this .
there is a diy unit [ but not herts/volt ] at
http://www.modulus.wavesynth.com/
you might want to look at the Diy list
http://dropmix.xs4all.nl/synth-diy/
