tryin to fix my first keyboard-no schematic. any advice as how to start..

new to the group. got a baldwin ex 32 keyboard -daughters-. makes faint hissing noise on powerup, nothing else. checked the wall wart-its ok. not sure how to proceed. any one have a general plan they follow on diagnosing these. no schematic available. all suggestions appreciated. thanks
