crumar 2003 organ repair

2013-07-16 by jacquesupitup

Hi guys i am new here!
I've recently bought a crumar 2003 organ. At the time of moving it into my flat (a very heavy beast) i've decided to remove the pedalboard for easier handling. While doing a tight corner the volume pedal connector (6 pins round plastic connector) snapped off. After we moved into place, i've forgotten about that cable and at the moment of turning it on that cable shorted (with a spark) and scared i've turned it off straight away and isolated the six wires (my bad.. )
Then i've turned it on again and it was a goner ( it was fully working before) : it turns on, the drum machine side lights up but all the main control board leds are off and no sound coming out of it. the leslie seems to work.. i was wondering what could it be and if it is reparable? might it be just a fuse?i am a bit of a novice still but i can solder.
Thank you very much for your help
Paolo

Hi,

You should first check all the fuses, there are hopefully fuses for all the different power lines by the power supply. If you are lucky then you only need to replace a fuse. If the fuses are all ok, then you could check if there is any visible damage to any components.
