Insert a patch cord not connected to anything else into the VCA1 jack. It should disconnect the pulse and make no sound from VCA out jack. The Wiard uses a 10 volt peak to peak signal, which is +4 dBv professional standard. If you are running into a guitar amp, or a 1 volt peak ot peak input like a DJ mixer, then every waveform is a pulse wave, because they are all being clipped off by the monitor system. You need to use a passive attenuator before the monitor to match levels. On a mixing board, this is called a "pad" control. The 300 series carries a 2 year warranty. If you have any concerns, send the module back and I will check and retest under warranty. I admit, testing to see if the normal will DISCONNECT has not been part of the test proceedure.
