Seems early units are being valued over later models - why the difference? Or is there any difference between version 1 and 2 of the series 300? Regards, Bill __________________________________________ Bill Sequeira, PHD

LOL! "VINTAGE" wiard!!!! pre - surface-mount perhaps???? ;'> i'm pre-emptively sorry if this offends anybody, but the notion of a wiard gadget acquiring cachet because it was a ***'99*** is just a flat-out belly laugh to me. Of course, my views on the evolutionary origins of collectors are pretty well known (and these views are the reason we had to move maubuse manor into a hardenend bunker several miles below the bedrock of an undisclosed location) here's my advice to folks who seek wiardness on ebay... call 414 769 0791 tell the man what you want, send a check, and then, be calm, patient, and use the time to browse around at a leisurely pace for a big clean power-supply to buy with the money you saved Sheesh! if this keeps up Grant might just start a sideline forging 'counterfeit' wiards to sell on street coners near NovaMusik in M'waukee!!! ;'> pssssssssssssssssssssssst! hey!!! buddy!!!!! c'mere talking funny because my tongue is pressed so hard to my cheek, -doc

Yep, the funnies in the equation. Looking at the trends - Wiard #1 goes for over $10K (then re-listed I think?). One Classic VCO early version goes for $1100. Yet a 6- module later generation is listed at $6K-7K and no one bites. Just saw the same thing happen with Serge panels - folks selling contemporary STS panels can't move them at a decent price, yet someone lists an '80s vintage with arguably worse manufacturing and they go for far more. Go figure. Must be the ebay blind collector syndrome. Regards, Bill __________________________________________ Bill Sequeira, PHD - Principal Axon Hillock - http://www.axonhillock.com/

Some factual corrections here on the ebay transactions: Wiard #1 6 module system + Borg and Woggle went for about $11K in first listing. Wiard 6 module system in similar cabinet but with a non-initial release module selection listed 4-5 times, eventually sells for $6K. Single VCO sells for $1100. Hi All, Wiard system #1 + Borg and Woggle were never relisted. It was, however, offered on Analogue Heaven before the ebay listing. The final winning bid topped out at $10,009.00. That high bidder now owns the system. Matthew (a former owner and very foolish seller of Wiard system #1) > Wiard #1 6 module system + Borg and Woggle went for about $11K in > first listing.
