I don't think "metallic" would be a fair description. The borg can be agressive/instable at
high resonance settings (which sounds nice when it tries to "syntonize" with its input
signal) , but it has a very full/natural sound otherwise and makes a very nice "resonator"
(with some emphasis in the mid-high frequencies, may be ?). The boogie has a different
character and it's faster, which makes them very complementary. Both deliver a lot in the
lows and sound nice even flat.

Grant, will the oscillator come soon (in the next months) ?

It can be.

I certainly can make it sound "Moogy" if that's what you're asking.
"The Omni Filter" can certainly function well in a nice bass patch.

I'm not knocking the 300 series filter for this purpose, but if you want a
very booming, balls-to-the-wall, knock the pictures down, sort of filter snap
(without much patching thought), you might try the Wiard Boogie filter
(it's a 1200 series module).

Hmmmm, some people would describe MP3s as "metallic sounding with not much bottom
end". Also computer speakers are usually bad.

I'll put the Boogie Filter up against any filter ever made for "phatness". It blows away a
transistor ladder.

It is a modular synthesizer, the sound is only as good as your patching skills.

One trick to know: Most filters will reduce the fundamental with increased resonance. Just
take the sine wave from the VCO and add it back into the signal after the filter. This is what
the Yamaha CS series does.
