Wiard cabinet : cross posted at muffwiggler

Wiard cabinet : cross posted at muffwiggler

2009-02-22 by Tommy DOG

I'm designing a cab for my Wiard. If any one has any pictures that are
not circulating in the Wiard Yahoo Group please post them.

I'm debating between side by side 300 frames with 1 row of 1200 under
and maybe controller bottom or on it's own. Kind of 2600 long with
Buchla arch.

Still undecided as straight up does take less space.

Anyone...

how many modules do you have and how are you planning to use the wiard...ie...live and in studio, mostly just in studio etc...

i want my eventual complete system to just be horizontal so that all the jacks are on the bottom and then i want to mount a few
effects and other random gear to interface with the wiard below it....

I think I posted this but forgive me if I didn't.

I have two 300 series frames filled with 8 and counting modules, two
1200 frames (more or less filled) and 1 controller.

I'm going for studio use but probably tolexed. I plan on doing a
instrument oriented build because it's an instrument not a box of wires.

ok, just to give you my opinion, if it was my system and that was my module array
i would put 12 wiard modules(assuming this is your eventual goal) side by side,
then i would put the 2 1200 series racks beside of the 300 series module with one on top of the other.

that would look pretty fuckin sweet.

then on a tilted bottom panel i would put the controller and leave some more rack space for
additional control surfaces....

just an idea.

what are your ideas so far??
