some good and some bad news (or is it gossip?)... starting with the bad news... apparently midiquest stopped developing for the proteus2500 because emu refused them the loan of a machine (i got this from a guy on the SOSforum who has been in contact with midiquest about this same issue) the good news from someone at the same forum is more of a "between the lines" kinda post ... i'll paste it for ye... "Jan 2004, NAMM, Emu launch shitload of new products. Might be interesting to hang on till then. " the guy who posted this is a (former?) sounddesigner for emu. for completeness sake... here's the link to the particular thread http://sound-on-sound2.infopop.net/2/OpenTopic? a=tpc&s=215094572&f=884099644&m=5213040937 --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "biz" <biz@g...> wrote: > I'd prefer to see one company come out withg an editor for everything. > > The Midiquest program isn't very good, but it's all there is right now :/ > > bIz > > ------------ > http://www.groovetronica.com - "The beats are ok, I suppose, but the vocals sound like the vintage jazz singers from my dad's record collection.
