Persistence and lots and lots of luck. The deal with Mattel came 
about in part because the company who did several of the Flash games 
(Team Smartypants) employed one of my brothers at the time and he 
put in a good word with BlueArrow Inc. who handled the music 
licensing. As for most of the other projects which were with Anarchy 
Enterprises, I threw some samples at the web application for 
creative work on their site about 3 years ago. Neither of them paid 
much, but it's a great start for a portfolio to say you've done 
music for a Mattel game and 2/3 of another game's soundtrack :).

  Basically, what you hear all the time is right - keep pushing your 
music everywhere you legitimately can, and hopefully someone will 
eventually take notice!
