Authoring roms?

Authoring roms?

2004-01-06 by emuxl7

Hi all, does anyone have the capabilities to make roms for xx7.last
i checked, the blank roms were a bit pricey. i bought the xl7 hoping
i could make a rom of vocal samples and my vintage synths i own.
is this possible? i dont plan on buying the emu sampler to do this
yet, but has anyone tried this? if someone could do this i would pay
to have a custom rom. especially if emu isnt producing more.thanks
                                                     mach

More importantly, must one buy the Flash memory from emu? Is there
another supplier?

Nope, Emu is the only one you can buy them from. :(

Sounds like someone should try convincing Fugifilm to expand their
knockoff lines ;)

BTW, how did you go about getting your music in the video game deals, if
you don't mind me asking? I saw that no your website, and I'm always
looking for different ways to get my music out there. Just curious how
that came about for you?

Persistence and lots and lots of luck. The deal with Mattel came
about in part because the company who did several of the Flash games
(Team Smartypants) employed one of my brothers at the time and he
put in a good word with BlueArrow Inc. who handled the music
licensing. As for most of the other projects which were with Anarchy
Enterprises, I threw some samples at the web application for
creative work on their site about 3 years ago. Neither of them paid
much, but it's a great start for a portfolio to say you've done
music for a Mattel game and 2/3 of another game's soundtrack :).

Basically, what you hear all the time is right - keep pushing your
music everywhere you legitimately can, and hopefully someone will
eventually take notice!
