That's because you can't.  =)

If you want a simple delay, you could copy the track, shift the time a
bit, and reduce the velocity.

If you really want effects, you'll have to learn the bussing
architecture of the XL-7.  It's not particularly intuitive, but if you
read the FAQ on this site, there's good info.
