Hmmm.....I have one last question: when you say that the XL7 only offers 
sysex dumps for storage, you mean in addition to onboard (ie: flash) 
memory, correct? Can the XL7 also save patterns/patches/songs onboard?

sequencer, and up to 4 banks of 128 patches for your own sounds, 100 User 
Arps, and 100 Multi's (snapshots of global settings basically).  There's
