Same samples(instruments) different presets is my understanding. I
have the MP-7 and have not tested the pure phatt. YOu can probably
get the preset listings and compare @ emu.com. If you are not
worried about the MP-7 patterns (I've been overwriting mine for
space) then I'm sure you'll be just fine with the pure phatt.
Besides I just learned the px is silver not white, pretty cool.
