No, you were right for what I need to do. I export as a type 0 midi file for the cs6x, but for using the computers sequencer, I would want type 1. Either way I can find it in the midi menu. I am going to try to set the XL-7 and the MC-505 in song mode. Perhaps it will work this way. On the CS6X, it has to be in performance mode, so maybe on the grooveboxes w/built-in sequencers, it has to be in song mode to work with the computer's sequencer. I'll post the results when I get back home tonight. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, Mark Fitt <mark@t...> wrote: > > Midi type 0 is all channels on a single track. > Type 1 is 16 channel/multi-track support. > > So you need to export the MIDI file as type 1 to maintain tracks. > > Mark. > > ---------- > > > --- > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.670 / Virus Database: 432 - Release Date: 27/04/2004 > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
