Don't worry about it there are a lot of people who don't know the difference between MIDI and Audio and it is more confusing because when you play a midi file on your computer you hear sound. like Wesley D said midi is not audio but is information. if you send a midi sequence to your XL7 it will sound different that if you sent the same midi sequence to a redsound elevata. that is because midi basically just tells the thing recieving it what keys were pushed. It does take a little bit to get your head around it. It does much more than that but that is the basics. it aslo sends start ans stope information and timecode info. so if you had 2 xl-7s you could connect them via midi and press play on one and both would start at the same time and would play at the same tempo. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "droppzoneent" <droppzoneent@y...> wrote: > whats up guys(and gals) im prety stupid on a lot of things so dont > laugh...but i was wondering what is the diffrents in running your > command to your computer in midi then running it in audio...
