i agree with the mackie mixer and fmr rnc compressor advice for someone on a tight budget. i had a behringer mixer and it lasted like a year....its cheap made in china crap.

Cheap compressor that kicks butt on anything less than $2,000, the RNC by FMR Audio. $200
for a stereo compressor that contains a triple compressor in it that is very nice for sending a
final mix through.

make the recordings sound better, any sugjestions? any help would be
