Re: [xl7] Upgrading OS help! (MIDI question)

2004-06-23 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

A USB midi interface will set you straight for about $40 (M-Audio Uno).
Not to spam, but I have a brand new Uno (minus box) for sale if you're
interested. I bought it for my laptop and the PX-7, and then bought a
Korg MicroKontrol and I no longer need it. It's seriously been used for
onyl 5 minutes. Hit me back private if you want it.

Hey gang,
I don't own a computer at home (I use the one in my office at work),
so please excuse this very newbie question. What do I need in order
to upgrade my XL-7s OS? I understand that I need MIDI cables, but how
do I hook them up to a computer? I've checked with all of my friends,
and although they have soundcards, I don't see MIDI ins/outs on the
back of their computers. Is there something I can buy that would give
their computers this function? Thanks in advance to anyone who
replies.
Fab
