Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Can any-one help me here. I can't assign a clik trak (for a drummer) 
to sub-out channel unless i'm in omni mode; What am I doing wrong?
I could stay in omni mode except I lose the right FX for the song.
If I go back to multi mode, the clicks can be heard in the main outs,
and I can't seem to get them out of the main mix.
Originally, after I'd assigned a clik to trak 16 in all my songs,
I tried to assign trak 16 to sub out, but as I play the song, it 
switches back (at the start of a measure) to its original song 
setting (16 outs of the main mix)
As a guitarist, Midi is still a bit of a mystery to me, but I refuse 
to be beaten (with a little help from anyone willing to give it!)
