Any ideas. pick up the XL, shake it like an Etch-a-Sketch, and chant "work, dammit!" over and over. hey, sometimes that works. i haven't tried pad surgery yet on an XX-7, so perhaps someone who has can comment. i assume you've already checked that the connectors to the mobo are solid. not that that would cause such a problem, but i usually do rule-out troubleshooting and that'd be something done early in that process. when you say the E pad clips, what do you mean? -- Bruddah Max Lord of the Dance
