pad problems.

pad problems.

thanks for the last response guys. my next ? is i got mine as a demo
unit and i am not sure i might have two bad pads. the unit looks like
its in pristine condition, and no other problems but the E pad clips
and the G pad is totally different sensitivity then all the other
pads? Any ideas.

pick up the XL, shake it like an Etch-a-Sketch, and chant "work, dammit!"
over and over. hey, sometimes that works.

i haven't tried pad surgery yet on an XX-7, so perhaps someone who has can
comment. i assume you've already checked that the connectors to the mobo are
solid. not that that would cause such a problem, but i usually do rule-out
troubleshooting and that'd be something done early in that process.

when you say the E pad clips, what do you mean?

sorry i didnt reply to this earlier was down in boca raton seeing the
pixies what a great show.... when i say the e pad clips it plays the
note for a split second, its has velocity if i hit it hard its plays
the note really loud for a split second if that makes any sense?

Sounds like dirt or dust between the trigger and the contact. Edirol
keyboards are quite vulnerable to this problem. Solution to the Edirol
version is to clean between the contacts with compressed air. Then
everything works fine.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
