We discused around this threat once, but i still like to recollect some opinions about it... I was about to buy a 19inch rack and an LCD screen, in the first place because of money, but i talked to a very friend of mine... he advised about the risk of Hard disc damages because of the vibrations and [sorry dont know the english word] the wetness of the air in crowded clubs and outdoor. He said a Laptop may be more resistant to that kind of condicions. Anyhow lots of people work with shuttle case PCs and i wonder if they use a special kind of harddisk? Further i checked out some Notebooks. Seems like most of the manufacturers use shared VideoRAM lately and rEalm advised that they aint got at all for audio proposals. Lets say that the Notebook have 512 MB of RAM, if i dedicate 16 RAM to the VideoCard, is there still danger of Dropouts or whats the problem with shared RAM? I didnt want to replace my desktop PC, i like to use it for DJ proposals and some out of studio recordings.
