Thanks for the replies!! I've considered looking into some type of groud loop isolater, but was hoping to avoid spending any cash. i should be able to get by with this one-time deal. The buzzing is slightly audible only when there's silence. I blame it all on my wife- she's the one that goes to church and got me roped into this =p Since I'm new at the sound game I thought it'd be good to know how to solve. I am curious about adding a ground wire though. It seems to make sense if it works for the spdif out. I also got a reply from Emu that suggests loosening/tightening the bottom plate screws- some type of sheilding issue? Have yet to try it. Thanks again!!
