This is confusing TRACKS with MIDI CHANNELS. There are 32 MIDI channels - Port A has 16 and Port B has 16. However, there are only 16 sequencer tracks. Each track can address up to 16 channels, though - you can bounce down multiple tracks to a single track that outputs to "Multi A" or "Multi B". A track set to one of the Multi outputs can send info to all channels on that particular port, so you can use all 32 MIDI channels in a sequence, but you still only have 16 tracks total in the sequencer.
