how do you use all 32 tracks

how do you use all 32 tracks

2005-03-25 by wparch

on the majority of my tracks i use 1a through 16a. when i go to 12b
or 15b or to enter information....it defaults to 12a or 15b...

so the question is how do i use all 32 of my tracks to add more
sounds to one track?

This is confusing TRACKS with MIDI CHANNELS. There are 32 MIDI channels -
Port A has 16 and Port B has 16. However, there are only 16 sequencer
tracks. Each track can address up to 16 channels, though - you can bounce
down multiple tracks to a single track that outputs to "Multi A" or "Multi
B". A track set to one of the Multi outputs can send info to all channels on
that particular port, so you can use all 32 MIDI channels in a sequence, but
you still only have 16 tracks total in the sequencer.

I hope that helps. :D
