Hey i just got my XL-7 last week. i have learned to make drum tracks really easily using Grid recording. but recording like bass and lead lines is something i cant do. whats the best method for doing this. I would rather not do realtime recording cuz my rythmn sucks.

The best thing is to record in real time but you can edit with the grid editor and adding a correction with note lenght. The step edit record is also a good way when you're a bad player. A friend of mine tell me that he hold a note a few mesure ( 1 bar ) and he overdub this measure with a partition of note ( 1/8 1/16...) as you want in fact. Hope that help. You can aslo use a quantize option for normal recording mode. Find it under the pattern menu. andras On Fri, 25 Mar 2005, BEAUFILS Adrien wrote: > > The best thing is to record in real time but you can edit with the grid editor and adding a correction with note lenght.
