Hey im on Mac OS X and i need to upgrade the os from 1.17 to 2 or whatever how do i do 
this. and how do i load midi files onto the unit

Updating to the new OS requires being able to run the E-Loader program.
Despite being written in Java, it runs only in Windows and Mac OS 9.x.
Classic mode does not work because the E-Loader program looks for OMS, which
does not work in Classic mode (at least not with Classic's version of the
Java engine). Bummer. :(

Fortunately my Mac is a QS2002 G4 so it runs Mac OS 9 off a separate
partition - useful for running some of those older apps that haven't ever
made it over to  Mac OS X. Like E-Loader.

One solution might be to run the Windows version in Virtual PC. I have
Virtual PC but haven't tried to do the E-Loader bit just yet. If I can get
it to work I'll let you know.
