Hello Steve, You got my point exactly. The potential to male 'midi' patches to modulate other gear would have been brilliant- tempo synced random lfo's, velocity switched envelope sweeps etc. I imagine the strain on the processor would have been too much for practical implementation. There must be some workarounds using third party devices. The clever folks at Midi Solutions have designed a box to process midi. It is like a tiny hardware version of Midiox programmed via sysex and powered via the midiline. http://www.midisolutions.com/prodepp.htm This box can do every midi msg manipulation imaginable! For instance i'm sure it could remap arpegiator notes to midi controllers in real time allowing us to harness the power of the arp at least. Incidentally I intend to buy one to simply remap the quick programming knobs A-P to CC's of my choice for ease of recording into patterns. This overcomes the gaps in the controller destinations allowed. I also have a Peavey PC1600x. This fader box contains 2 CV > midi convertors so I am wondering if I routed a bright, loud patch via sub outs into one of these, if I could capture the fancy note retriggers. I really love this machine (MP-7)! Mike
