Switch "Rechannelize MIDI to Track Dest" in the MIDI menu to either "off" or "on record". That feature is for use with a controller keyboard so you don't have to keep changing its MIDI channel. When sending multichannel data, you either want it off or only when recording (so you know what playback will sound like). Note that if you want to record multichannel data, you should set the track destination to be multi (end of the pattern menu). -Aaron timsteitz <timbonix@...> wrote: Hey guys, I'm using Ableton Live and I'm sending MIDI to my XL-7 but all the sounds are coming out as one preset. I can't seem to figure out how to divide up the incoming midi into seperate channels so I can apply different presets to the notes. Within Live I have told it to send the midi as different channels, so I'm pretty sure this is an XL7 issue. Can anyone help? Thank, Tim Yahoo! Groups Links --------------------------------- Yahoo!
