Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

hi,
the mp-7 is acting nutz!
1. when i press the E key on the first octave it will just start
plaingit every two bars in whatever channel i pressed it. wether the
sequencer is playing or not. no midi signals are being sent in or out. - 
switching tracks stops this.

2. the data wheel jumps big time when i turn it to the right when
first touching it. when i turn left then turn right again, it usualy
goes back to normal.

3. she just froze on me! i drew the line. 

is a system initialization in order? i did all the diagnostics tests i
think, they all passed. i couldnt compare the crc checks with anything... 

is there anything else i should try before initializing?
if i do initialize should i back up my patterns presets and multi's?
