Re: [xl7] mp-7 is acting weird is it time for an initialization?

2006-09-04 by Aaron Eppolito

#1 - you probably have an arpeggiator set up on that note. either try to find it and turn it off, or just reset the factory multisetup at the end of the global menu.

#2 - yeah, the encoders suck. all of mine jump like crazy. like somebody said, contact cleaner is probably your best bet. I still haven't fixed mine though.

#3 - froze how? was it still playing stuff? did you perhaps have a midi loop? or perhaps jumping through list edit while recording or something (known bug)? anyway, reinitializing won't help.

the mp-7 is acting nutz!
1. when i press the E key on the first octave it will just start
plaingit every two bars in whatever channel i pressed it. wether the
sequencer is playing or not. no midi signals are being sent in or out. -
switching tracks stops this.

2. the data wheel jumps big time when i turn it to the right when
first touching it. when i turn left then turn right again, it usualy
goes back to normal.

3. she just froze on me! i drew the line.

is a system initialization in order? i did all the diagnostics tests i
think, they all passed. i couldnt compare the crc checks with anything...

is there anything else i should try before initializing?
if i do initialize should i back up my patterns presets and multi's?
