Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

has any one else experienced this i have my emu hooked up to my 
computer with emu as master and once in a while i get dropoffs in sound 
when im hitting the pads or playing on my keyboard i have an xl-7 ive 
updated the os and all went well but does anyone know what might be 
causing this? do i have something on that shouldnt be? like in the midi?
it seems to help when it goes out, to turn it off then on again but i 
dont know why that helps any ideas. it it fried or is it something else?
