I use Ableton Live. It has the disadvantage that it doesn't send program change info (or it didn't I haven't checked to see if Live 6 does) but that doesn't bother me. Another good program is Cubase. I own a version of it but rarely use it. I have heard a lot of good things about Fruity loops as well. I want to check out seq24 http://www.filter24.org/seq24/index.html but I don't know much about it and I don't know if 'll have the time. (BTW it's free) I don't know anything about it I can't even tell if it is software only or can control external gear. I am very partial to the built in sequencer on the XL7 and often just sync Ableton Live to my XL7. after working on the XL7 I'll use e-loader to import a sequence and then play it in live controling the XL7. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "atip_akira" <tyronreid@...> wrote: > > thank you John :> > yea i knew a little about midi, thanks for the heads up about it, > fruity loops is an easy noob program to create patterns and stuff, > what software do you recomend for the XL7? wether it be for > midi, control ect. im kinda in the dark and would like to know what the > pros are using! thanks, > greatly Appriciate the help > -Akira- > > --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "keiodi" <ms06j@> wrote: > > > > Once you inport the MIDI file to Fruity Loops are you using Fruity > > Loops to control the XL7 or is the MIDI patteren playing just in > > Fruity Loops?
