I have not kept track of e-mu on e-bay for a few months; you can do that. However, I can share some bit of history. During the early summer, a couple of people (mainly one in the US and another outside) started cornering the market on E-Mu ROMs and P2K hased gear. The one 1n the states paid more than what the going rate had been up until he started corniering the market. Obviously, he relisted the items for more than he paid for--a nice markup for his efforts. The net effect was to bump up the price for all roms and e-mus with roms. I assume he is still in the business; you can check that out if you search "E-Mu ROM" on e-bay. His strategies included contacting sellers and having them end their auction early. (One person who ended an auction early, I believe, even gave him feedback saying he was the nicest e-bayer he ever met--or something like that.) So, if he is still in business be very careful about having a low Buy-It-Now price (or whatever they are now calling it now). Otherwise you might sell it to someone who only wants it so he can jack up the price and resell it. Personally, I'd rather see a member here sell it for more and another member buy it for less. By cutting out the middleman, it can be a win-win deal for members here. To arrive at a fair price (not an inflated one), I recommend looking at the buy/sell figures on e-bay and split the mark-up down the middle. Of course, if no members are interested, I'd be happy to get back into the e-mu e-bay research and suggest a BIN price that will probably keep the middleman from scooping it. Why am I willing to do this? Because I needed to replace a ROM that went bad and became disgsted by the middleman's selfishness by attempting to corner the market. --Steve --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, Herschel Newman <bombnem@...> wrote: > > I have the PX7 with 3 roms: Beat Garden, Drum, and Pure Phatt.....what's this type > of combo going for nowadays?
