You can use the linked presets to split/layer up to 12 samples, and you can tranpose each sample to put it on whatever key range makes sense. I don't know if that helps you though - I don't even bother with kits, since I put each drum on a separate track and turn transposition off (so the notes are always on the same key and easy to find).
