Re: [xl7] How to save your presets banks in your command station as a sysex file????

Unfortunately, the XL-7 sequencer doesn't record sysex. It *will*, however, play back sysex.

You could dump your presets to a computer sequencer (any free one will do), save as an SMF file, then use E-Loader to upload that file back to your Command Station. You can then play that pattern anytime you'd like to set up your patches.

Subject: [xl7] How to save your presets banks in your command station as a sysex file????

Hey,

Since E Loader does not support patch storage, only patterns, I have been trying to save the user bank presets using a MIDI Loop connection.

I connect the same MIDI cable from MIDI OUT A to MIDI IN, and send the presets as a Sysex MIDI dump, while a pattern is in record mode. I want to save the presets on the same command station, without using other sequencer.

I have tried this in multiple ways, changing the MIDI setup parameters. But I haven`t been able to do it.

Is there any SYSEX message that you have to send fist, before sending the presets banks, in order to save the patches on a pattern????? This is for advance users....
