I can't answer all your questions; I hope others can.

3. Different EQ
You cannot EQ "tracks" internally. If you want to do it externally,
you can use the main outs and sub outs.

On the preset level, you can use different filters and different
settings on different layers. Each preset can have up to 4 layers
(not including linked presets). You have the following types of
filter "types:"
LPF - Low Pass Filter
HPF - High Pass Filter
BPF - Band Pass Filter
EQ+/EQ- - EQ FIlters
VOW - Vowel FIlters
PHA - Phasing Filters
FLG - Flanging Filters
REZ - Resonance Filters
WAH - Wah-wah Filters
DST - Distortion Filters
SFX - Special Effects Filters

With each filter you have settings: Freq: & Q:
Each layer also has a filter evelope (AADDRR).
Using patch courds, you can also rout various "sources" to to
various "destinations"--including FiltFReq [Freq] and 'FiltRes [Q].

4. Using knobs

QUICK EDIT MODE [knobs]:
In Preset Edit mode, Patchcords have MidiA through MidiP as sources.
These allow you to send the knobs to various destinations. You have
24 layer level patchcords and 12 preset level patchcord.

PROGRAM MODE [knobs]:
Also, using the controller button, you can access the Programmable
Knobs (K1-K16).

You can switch between Quick Edit, Program, Volume, and Pan modes on
the fly.

Hope this helps.
