RE: [xl7] Werd to your whole setup

2002-07-23 by Byron

I just wish they would add sysex string editing capabilities into the XX7's next OS, or any OS for that fact...that would truly make it a Command Station in all aspects of the term (HINT! HINT!). I unfortunately have a number of older analog synths that can't be controlled via just control changes (other than the basic pitch wheel, sustain, and PGC ya know), and I would simply die to be able to do filter sweeps and what not via live control. Of course, I could just buy a Peavey controller (cant remeber there name), but I'm fairly at my finacial brink....and will end this message as I slowly drag this topic farther and farther off topic, hehehe...

Subject: [xl7] Werd to your whole setup

Ok, I asked it before, and maybe i didn't explain my situation well enough.
I'm running an A4000 (yamaha sampler) out of my MP-7. I also have my computer plugged into the Mp-7. I have MIDI MERGE ON on the MP-7. When I use a sequencer, the Note data goes right to my A4000 no problem. But when I try to get SYSEX data to it (from BZONE), it doesn't work! It works fine when I run right out of my computer into the A4k. So I figure there must be some filtering going on... ANYONE?"
