Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Is this a brand new box?  Mine felt like it took a couple weeks of abuse 
to really "break in" properly.  Maybe it just took me that long to adjust 
to the feel of the pads...

whenever i hit a pad say like 5 times in a row, each time it seems to 
play either really low or loud --and i am hitting with the same 
amount of velocity each time.  is there something wrong with the pads?
