You can do this, but you have to switch the box from "Master FX" to "Use 
Preset on Channel xx".  This turns on the FX control for the preset on 
the channel that you selected.  However, this does mean that the FX will 
no longer be saved in the pattern, but rather with the preset, which may 
or may not be convinient for you.

Once you've done that, you can hook up patchcords like rEalm says in the 
preset patchbay, if they're not already.
