RE: [xl7] loose midi time clock :(

2002-08-10 by ByronIV

I assume you probably mae sure of this, or at least I would think so considering the slew of stuff you're using, but you might want to double check if anything else anywhere in the chain is sending a clock out, like maybe the ms2000's arp? I haven't tried slaveing the xl at all yet, so I couldn't be one to confirm it works solidly at all. Maybe try changing Sonar's clock res? If you have a motu or a midi module thank can generate clock, maybe try using that as the master instead? Just some suggestions...:)

Subject: [xl7] loose midi time clock :(

I recently started using sonar XL for the master midi clock for my setup:
MP-7
PC layla24 -sonar, reason, NI etc.
Korg MS2000
I set my mp-7 to recieve external midi clock however it is really loose!! the clock is transmitting a 178bpm clock time and the mp7 is continuly fluctuating between 177-181??
any suggestions??
thx
