Are you using OS 1.31? I thought they fixed the fluctuating tempo display
with that release. Also, I too use a Layla24, and find that the midi
features are less than ideal sometimes. I can hear a very noticeable
difference in timing when I switch to the MIDISport 2x2 interface.
