> In answer to the above question, I think the problem with USB lies > with its limited bandwidth- The reason Nick (I presume that's your >> name?) is getting e-loader to work with his pismo is because he is using a decent MOTU powered usb interface-ie. an interface that isn't line powered from the powerbook itself. This is a problem I too have with programming my Yamaha AN1x via my Mac- my usb interface simply can't take it's high sysex (?) bandwidth (was midiman 2x2 midisport, now, Emagic mt4.) ***Thanks - and I wish it were this simple. I am using an AC powered. MOTU MIDI Express XT. This situation even has the pros stumped. I have never had such a perplexing problem, and so that is why I now "take it to the streets" and ask: are there any other readers who cannot get e- loader to work on a mac?? I wonder if it is because my XL7 has OS 1.18. I have 1.31 but (of course) cannot load it because of the obvious - can't get e-loader to successfully up-download. thanks in advance to all gong
