Just opened my Korg Wavestation EX this afternoon (had to replace the
LCD backlight). I could'nt believe how complex and well built this 
unit is compared to the XL-7. It took me several hours to get the job 
done actually.

It's heavy, shielded, it has copper inserts on several places so the
casing is grounded ok, the paint has been painstakingly taken off around
all the mounting holes... Wow.

And it's *dead* quiet, as it's always been. 
A 10 years old synth.

My Electribe EA-1 also had a lot of copper inside (but the case was
plastic). E-MU could use some. :(
