Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi all,

I have the following question, I use a Doepfer MAQ16/3 sequencer as 
master that runs a sequence. It starts/stops the Xl7 and regulates 
tempo. The Xl7 also runs a pattern. Further the xl7 midi out-a is 
connected to a MS10 synth (with midi ofcourse) on track/channel 12a. 
Now I am trying to record in realtime with the Pads on the Xl7 a 
melody for the MS10 while both sequencers are running. This does not 
work properly. I dissabled the rechannelize input and even the midi 
merge funtions for both midi outputs of the XL7. But still a lot of 
garble is recorded into the track 12a and subsequently sent to the 
ms10 that plays it. I don't know where this garble comes from, I 
guess my maq16/3, but it sends only on channels 1,2 and 3, but that 
shouldn't matter as I am recording on track 12a and dissabled the 
allready mentioned features. How come there is still data "leaking 
into" the Xl7 track 12a?
